New American Soundscapes is a week-long music festival in Sacramento that aims to be accessible, diverse, and instructive. The festival hopes to appeal to students, music lovers, and educators, but it also aims to bring artistic innovation to the community.
One of the goals for the New American Soundscapes campaign was for it to be bold and inviting. As a week-long music festival in Sacramento, the design had to be something that could appeal to many different members of the community such as students, music lovers, and educators. The imagery consists of a cassette tape, a vinyl, and a microphone embedded with rough texture to add a sense of age and imperfection, that along with the bold red against the black background and the yellow stars scattered throughout, allow for a vintage mood to be experienced.
